About Lana

Lana Schrock is a Certified K-5 Reading Coach and Spanish Tutor for all levels. Originally from Cleveland, she moved to Dover, Ohio with her now-husband in 2021. Lana has always been passionate about education and creating learning resources and opportunities for her local community. 

An avid learner herself, Lana obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish & International Relations from Cleveland State University and went on to study at the University of Pittsburgh where she received her Master's Degree and PhD in Hispanic Languages & Literatures. 

Lana has been an online and in-person tutor since 2021 and has taught hundreds of students to unlock their reading and language learning potential by helping them build their confidence one step at a time, teaching in a fun and engaging way personalized to every learner’s needs. 

Lana is now a freelance private tutor and also offers free K-5 literacy tutoring in collaboration with the Tuscarawas County Library System during the school year. Lana’s ultimate goal is to bring much-needed educational resources to Tuscarawas County and beyond to expand learning opportunities for youth and adults.
